Besides providing a TV channel for Watertown residents, The Watertown Community Access Center serves the community through coverage of community events, meetings, political forums and the production of series programs. WCAC also offers classes in basic and advanced television production. Our programming is produced entirely by Watertown residents and volunteers for Watertown residents!

WANT TO BE A RADIO DJ?

In November 1994, a Rolling Stones concert was the first major cyberspace multi-cast concert. Mick Jagger opened the concert by saying "I wanna say a special welcome to everyone that's, uh, climbed into the Internet tonight”. Flash forward to the year 2011 and now you too can talk to the world during your very own radio program! WCAC is launching its very own Internet radio station, which means anyone with access to the Internet will be able to listen to your program. Our station will be an independent, member-run radio station reaching out to the world through online streaming on the Internet. We accept programming of all types, in any language. Holding true to our commitment to freedom of speech, we give our radio DJs 100% control over their programs. Any Massachusetts resident can become one of our DJs. Simply fill out an application, and pay a $30 membership fee. This fee covers your radio equipment training session, as well as allows you to pick as many radio show blocks within our hours of operation as you wish.

WCAC Radio is looking for enthusiastic DJ's to fill out its programming schedule. Ever want to host your own talk show? Think you've got the best taste in music on the block? Prove it! Come in and see us to learn how to get involved with WCAC Radio and start hosting your very own show today! WCAC Radio is excited to announce some very special new shows to its broadcast both online and on the community bulletin board stream.
