WATERTOWN – Watertown High School launched a new initiative focused on student wellness with its first-ever health fair, held March 20 at the Watertown Middle School gymnasium. The event brought together students, staff, and community organizations to promote healthy living and provide access to important resources. Participants included local groups like the Watertown Boys and Girls Club, as well as a special appearance from the New England Revolution. A wide range of stations were set up throughout the gym, including guidance and counseling services, college planning resources, and interactive demonstrations. Students took part in hands-on activities like using impairment goggles to understand the dangers of drunk driving, learning how to administer Narcan in emergency situations, and receiving instruction on checking vital signs from medical assisting students. Other stations focused on everyday wellness, including personal hygiene kits for students in need and information on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Organizers say the goal is to expand the event in the future, continuing to connect students with resources and reinforce the importance of making positive, informed choices.
