The Association of Blind Citizens Boston Renegades recently took the field at Fenway Park for a historic moment—playing the first-ever beep baseball game at the iconic ballpark.
The Renegades, who practice in Watertown, compete in an adaptive version of baseball designed for blind and low vision athletes.
The sport uses a beeping ball and buzzing bases, allowing players to rely on sound and teamwork to make plays.
Players and coaches describe the experience of playing at Fenway as “surreal,” as the team showcased their skills in front of hundreds of fans while helping raise awareness for the sport.
The Renegades are part of the National Beep Baseball Association and continue to compete nationally while growing the game locally.
