Watertown Pride 2026 Draws Hundreds for Parade and Community Celebration

Hundreds of residents gathered in Watertown on June 6 for the fifth annual Watertown Pride celebration, a day-long event highlighting community, inclusion, and acceptance.
The celebration began with a parade from Moxley Field to Saltonstall Park, led by the Watertown High School Band and Good Trouble Brass Band. The festival featured live music, performances, community organizations, food vendors, and family-friendly activities throughout the afternoon.
Organizers said the event has continued to grow each year, with a volunteer-led Pride Advisory Committee helping expand programming and outreach beyond a single day of celebration. Committee members emphasized the importance of creating spaces where people feel welcomed, supported, and connected to their community.
City Council President Mark Sideris addressed attendees during the event, praising Watertown's diversity and reading a proclamation recognizing June as Pride Month in the city.
The festival also included free HIV and STI testing and health resources provided by the Massachusetts Alliance of Portuguese Speakers (MAPS).
Organizers said the event's success reflects the strong community support behind Pride in Watertown and their ongoing efforts to create opportunities for connection and celebration throughout the year.
