Coolidge Square Public Art Installations Unveiled During Mount Auburn Street Construction

Watertown officials, artists, and community members gathered in Coolidge Square to celebrate the unveiling of two new public art installations as part of the City’s “Open for Business” initiative.

The project aims to support local businesses and encourage foot traffic during the ongoing Mount Auburn Street reconstruction project. The installations — “Transitional” by MASARY Studios and “Dazzling the Pines” by Nighthouse Studio — will remain on display for the next two years. The artworks use light, reflection, and movement to transform public spaces in Coolidge Square and Sullivan Park while highlighting the neighborhood’s ongoing transition and community character.
