Inside Watertown's Nearly Complete New High School

Watertown's new high school is nearing the finish line. School officials, members of the School Building Committee, and project leaders recently toured the nearly completed facility, which is now approximately 97 percent complete.
The state-of-the-art building features modern classrooms, a two-story media center, a 420-seat auditorium, a regulation-size gymnasium, expanded career and technical education spaces, and new outdoor learning areas.
The new campus will also house programs in engineering, culinary arts, carpentry, early childhood education, and video and radio production, while providing students with updated science labs, art studios, music rooms, and collaborative learning spaces.
Construction will continue through the summer as staff prepare to move into the building in August. A grand opening and community open house are planned for September 1, with additional details expected to be announced later this summer.
