New Lowell Elementary Playground Opens After 8-Month Rebuild in Watertown

WATERTOWN – Watertown officially opened the redesigned playground and outdoor space at the Lowell Elementary School on October 24— and the kids’ voices were front and center in the plan. City staff, Recreation, and DPW teamed up to rebuild the play area, add a full basketball court, fresh landscaping, and inclusive features like a rotating gazebo that’s accessible for students who use wheelchairs.
