The Watertown Community Path has a new look thanks to four new large-scale public art installations now on display as part of the Community Sculpture Walk.
During a public opening event hosted by the Public Arts and Culture Committee, residents had the chance to meet the artists, tour the installations, and learn more about how the rotating exhibit transforms the community path into an outdoor art gallery.
This video features interviews with organizers and artist Roe Osborn, whose sculpture “Respite Out Straight” uses industrial materials to reflect everyday stress and the importance of slowing down.
Organizers say the Community Sculpture Walk is designed to make public art more accessible while showcasing contemporary artists from across New England.
