WATERTOWN, MA – The city of Watertown has announced plans for the redesign and improvement of three local parks: How Park, Bemis Park, and Sullivan Park. The initiative aims to enhance these recreational spaces and increase accessibility for residents.
Recently, community members were invited to provide input on the proposed designs during an event held at the library.
The scope of the project includes various enhancements at each park. At How Park, the focus will be on improving accessibility and compliance. Bemis Park will see renovations to its playground and ball field, with the addition of a splash pad. Sullivan Park’s redesign will prioritize the playground area while ensuring the preservation of existing trees.
The timeline for the project indicates that design efforts are expected to conclude by the end of winter, with construction projected to begin in late spring 2025. The city aims to complete all improvements by spring 2026.
